Meet our heroes: Extra Life Gamer Joshua Phillips

Gamer Joshua Phillips is in his fourth year of playing games to heal kids at Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.
His favorite games include Mario, Zelda, Overwatch, Pinball anything retro and classic arcade. He is excited to try a no death run on Link’s Awakening on game day and plans to try his hand at Killer Queen Black. He also is having a game day Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tournament.

What is Joshua’s why?
“I love gaming and cherish the opportunity to use that to make a positive difference in the lives of children,” he says. “I am playing for Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital because they treated my daughter-in-law as a child, and I can’t imagine our family without her.”
