GIANT/Martin’s employees make Courage Capes for pediatric patients

Employees from GIANT/Martin’s Food locations in Central and Northeast Pennslyvania gathered on Wednesday to create Courage Capes for Geisinger’s Pediatric Emergency Department.
Capes were provided by GIANT and through a t-shirt drive. Employees volunteered to transform t-shirts into capes and decorate the capes with words of encouragement and designs. Children who are brought to the Pediatric Emergency Department are given a cape to boost their spirits and help them through their hospital visit. The two teams of GIANT employees gathered at the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company in Altoona and the Pottsville store on Route 61 to create hundreds of capes that will be delivered next week to Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.
Thank you GIANT/Martin’s for continuing to help change kids’ health and change the future in our communities.
