Bucknell’s Raython and Bloomsburg’s Janethon Spring to $10k!
With a goal in mind and a plan to get there, anything is possible. This spring, students at both Bucknell University and Bloomsburg University did just that. With a lot of hard work throughout the school year, both dance marathon programs exceeded $10,000 raised at their annual events!
Donning a carnival theme, Bucknell’s Raython featured fun games hosted by campus clubs, Greek Life and Athletics in addition to a fun morale dance and four Miracle Families in attendance! Bloomsburg’s Janethon took advantage of the beautiful May weather and hosted their event full of on-campus club tables on the Quad! In an effort to involve more students, Lock Haven University hosted their own event on-campus to support the Janethon total raising $680 their first year!
The success was bittersweet as we say congratulations and good-bye to our Executive Directors of both programs, April Hurlock at Bucknell and Courtney Bolko at Bloomsburg, who graduated from their universities respectively this May. We wish them well on their next big adventure and thank them for their dedication to changing kids’ health through dance marathon at Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.
