Wyoming Seminary Dance Marathon to raise more than $30,000 for Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital

FORTY FORT – For the eighth consecutive year, the students at Wyoming Seminary High School once again put on an incredible dance marathon to raise money for local kids treated at Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.

Students flossed, did the Shiggy and the Shoot and more for six hours on Saturday, March 30, to raise $34,018.65 for Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospitals. The students didn’t sit for the entire six hours and dedicated the marathon to “stand for those who can’t.”

Children’s Miracle Network at Geisinger miracle kids joined in the fun to provide extra inspiration to the dancers and tell stories of how the students’ hard work helps kids from all over the region. The total raised was almost $3,000 more than last year’s total.

All the funds raised during the radiothon event will stay local to provide high quality care for children in our region.
