Wear a mask to protect kids like Martin

Miracle Kid Martin was 2 years old when he was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. The infection caused multiple mini-strokes that led to profound hearing loss. Today, following cochlear implant surgery and speech therapy, 5-year-old Martin is a happy, energetic little boy. However, because of his cochlear implants, he is extremely susceptible to ear infections which require immediate treatment and most times hospitalization to protect his hearing. For this reason, Martin wears a mask to protect himself from COVID-19.

“Wear your mask so I don’t get sick and can stay home instead of in the hospital,” Martin says. “If everyone would wear a mask, I could go back to playing with my friends one day!”
