Altoona Sam’s Club/Walmart hold Safety Fair

Walmart and Sam’s Club locations are in the middle of their miracle icon balloon campaign until Sept. 30. Associates at the stores are asking guests to donate $1 or more to benefit Children’s Miracle Network at Geisinger.

Many stores have held special events to raise additional funds for local kids, with fairs, barbecues, contests and more, including the Altoona Walmart and Sam’s Club locations.

The Altoona stores will recently a Safety Fair in the their parking lot. Many emergency vehicles were on display including ambulances, fire trucks and police vehicles. McGruff the Crime Dog visited with children as well as other mascots, clowns and characters from Paw Patrol. The event also included food, games and musical entertainment. The event was free to the public and canisters were placed throughout the fair for donations.
